The shopping possibilities in Tallinn have improved every year since the 1990's with new shopping malls and stores everywhere. Almost every store takes VISA and other major credit cards. It is never a problem to find an ATM (bankomat) and there are many currency exchange offices. The banks have good opening hours and exchange currency at good exchange rates (from the view of the customer!).

The biggest shopping center is Viru Keskus and it is located below Viru Hotel. It has the greatest selection of fashion brands in Estonia. Some of the brands and stores are Calvin Klein, Versace, Zara, Mango, Nike, Diesel, Ivo Nikkolo, French Connection, Betty Barclay, Chanel, Dior, Monton, Baltman, Diesel, Tintoretto, Elizabeth Arden, YSL Biotherm, Bastion, Clinique, Estée Lauder, Gary Weber, Lancomel, Shiseido and Marco 'O' Polo. The department store Kaubamaja is located across the street from Viru Keskus. Stockmann is another large department store located a few hundred meters from Hotel Olümpia.

Outside the central parts of the city the shopping malls Rocca al Mare and Ülemiste. The latter is located close to the Airport. The easiest way to get there is by taxi which is cheap in Tallinn.
